Jay's furniture is crafted from hardwoods sourced throughout the Hamptons and his home state of Maryland. Each piece begins with the character of the wood itself, allowing its grain, live edge, and natural form to guide the design. Many pieces are carved from a single block of wood, resulting in furniture that is bold, sculptural and organic. Most pieces are one of one. Some are conceived as standalone works, while others are created in collaboration with clients to design custom furniture and built-ins that complement the architecture and character of their homes.
