Currently in progress, this full renovation of a East Hampton home is transforming a once dark, heavily wood-paneled interior into a lighter, more open space. These images show the renovation in progress, with work continuing in the bedroom and throughout the rest of the house.

In the upstairs loft bedroom, Jay and his team raised the ceiling to meet the roofline, opening up the room. The existing wood-paneled walls have been replaced with microcement, adding texture while helping to bring more light into the space. In other areas of the bedroom, the original wood paneling has been retained, sanded and restained in a lighter finish to preserve the character of the house.

The existing built-in bed has been reworked with an expanded bed frame and the addition of floating bedside shelves, all finished in microcement to integrate them with the surrounding walls.
